Faces of Uraidla

Stories of Our Community

Every face tells a story. Every story helps shape this place we call home.

Faces of Uraidla is a new storytelling project celebrating the people who have made our town what it is — a place full of warmth, creativity and connection.

The series features five short films, each one capturing a slice of our community’s history and heart. Hear from local grower and elder Don Wilsmore, who reflects on the changing rhythms of the land. Meet Joyce Boehm, who has lived in Uraidla for an incredible 105 years. Learn from Neil Mullard, a local legend of the sandstone quarry, and Peter Geers, who first came to Uraidla in the 1970s and has been part of the fabric of the town ever since. And stop in for a chat with Tanya Schroeder from the Cherry Bomb Café, who brings life and laughter to Ashton each day.

Together, their stories remind us what makes Uraidla special — the people.
The ones who grow, create, care, and connect.

The films are beautifully crafted by the very clever local Aaron Austin-Glen.
