Letters to Place: SA History Festival 2023

Were on display from Friday 5 - Wednesday 31 May 2023

Uraidla Institute External Wall - 1197 Greenhill Road | Uraidla | 5142 | SA

In 2023 visitors could come to the historic hills Uraidla Institute, where dozens of letters were mounted in a unique installation. The Letters to Place project invited the community to write a letter to their favourite place in our district.

The letters share stories, history and memories, as well as highlight some of the shared reasons why we live in this community. It is part of a bigger ambition to continue sparking connection and a shared sense of place for Uraidla and surrounds. We received dozens of letters from members of the community and shared them widely in our social media and newsletter. These letters will be mounted displayed for all to enjoy on the front of the Institute building.
